Default Well of Power build - N/W

[build prof=Necromancer/Warrior box name="SY Blood Support" blood=12+1+1 soul=12+1][well of power][mark of fury][flurry][save yourselves (luxon)][dark fury][order of pain][ebon battle standard of honor][masochism][/build]

Take off of a typical Well of Support build. Use a Furious Spear of some kind and use Mark of Fury -> Flurry -> Save Yourselves to protect your team. EBSoH is there because it's sexy. Cast Dark Fury and Order of Pain on your melee guys. Well of Power is there for more support. If you want, you can swap Flurry for [for great justice]. When combined with Mark of Fury, you're getting back 4 adrenaline per hit.

Whaddya think?

You're either casting or you're attacking. One way or the other you're losing SY or buffs. You've also not got the SY buff and you're attacking, which means you're going to need some massive powerhealing.

Your elite only helps foes in the range of a corpse, and the rest of the build is based off of party support with Save Yourselves. Every 5 seconds you will be casting Dark Fury and using Flurry, and I would assume you will be casting Order of Pain often as well. Dark Fury would be used every 10 seconds. That is a lot of energy to chew through with only Masochism to assist in energy management. I would hope that the build you posted is incomplete, but currently it shows no points in any attribute but Blood Magic, none in Soul Reaping. Order of the Vampire might be a better option for the elite, as it provides use for not only yourself using a spear, but any physical damage dealers on your team. Personally, I'd leave Save Yourselves to a Warrior or Paragon, but you can always make their job easier with an Orders based build using Dark Fury and Mark of Fury.

Er... what?
You have Dark Fury and Order of Pain - if you intend to be using these a lot you want to be well away from the action and use them to boost your allies.
You have Save Yourself, which requires adrenaline. The only way to get adren is to attack and if a necro attacks whilst saccing health a lot, they'll die pretty quick.
Well of Power is useless. You'll provide minimal support for your melee attackers and you'll need to be in corpse range. It also takes up your elite slot.

Have you actually tried running this build?

1st off: One of the problems I realized early one was the issue of SY spamming versus the casting. Ended up doing SY!, then casting Orders (high luxon rank).

2nd: I botched up the code so that's why there wasn't any soul reaping points. Fixed it.

3rd: Well of Power seems to be the only worthwhile elite from the Blood Magic line. I need to try out Order of the Vampire, though. It might work.

4th: Yes I have tried the build, and I'll admit it's got problems. I'm hoping you guys can impart your great wisdom to me in working out the kinks.

ROUND 2
[build prof=necromancer/warrior box name="Well of Saving Curses" curses=12+1+1 blood=8+1 soul=10+1][well of power][mark of fury][flurry][save yourselves (luxon)][barbs][mark of pain][ebon battle standard of honor][signet of lost souls][/build]

Second attempt. Standard yummy hex stuff, WoP for support. SY! spamming covers team. EBSoH is sexy. I'll try it out when I get home Whaddya think?

Stop being quicker than me :P

In short: Constant sacrifice while building adrenaline at spear range, wasting corpses with a well that won't have any benefit at all.The rest of your party will have +100 armor (if you even get to build enough to cast SY). You make yourself a prime squishy target.

Since you asked and sorry for being blunt. It's utterly terrible.Reasoning is above.

[spoil victor] will work fine on a curse bar.

I don't think the problems/kinks could be worked out.Necros are a midline support class that isn't designed to be upfront and chucking spears to fuel adrenal skills. You have the right idea with [[mark of pain] and [[barbs],a spear set to trigger those if you lack physicals but really, W/x and P/W are the masters of adrenaline and ultimately, will serve the purpose of spamming SY a lot better (difference is night and day) than a necro.

Well of Blood is only useful on a team not using an MM and/or using several melee. There are several other good elites in Blood Magic, but which you would use depends on the purpose of the build. Order of the Vampire is a great elite for an Orders Necro to use. Vampiric Spirit is decent for self preservation, Spoil Victor is awesome at killing bosses, and even Life Transfer is worth using for mass hexing and self preservation.

Your second build dropped Blood for Curses as the focus, and yet you still use a Blood elite. Why not toss on Lingering Curse, Spiteful Spirit, etc. instead of Well of Power? Well of Power fails as a way to remove corpses from the enemies, as the recharge is way too long. So it only works as a support for characters who will be in range of a corpse. I'd suggest looking for a new elite, or changing the entire point of your build.

Save Yourselves really is a waste on a caster, leave it to the Warriors and Paragons.

I'd suggest something similar to inferno's. Ritualist is a better secondary for a support necro imo. This build also requires heavy physical damage in order to work, so I assume you have alot of that. I suggest [splinter weapon], [great dwarf weapon], and [order of the vampire]

1. Casting and chucking enough spears to keep much SY coverage is tough. It works, but it's not pretty.

2. You're not going to be throwing enough spears to justify flurry. If your purpose in including it is to increase DPS, you're better off with a buff for the team. If your purpose in including it is to increase SY! uptime, you're better off with FJG.

3. Dark Fury and Mark of Fury is overkill. Drop Mark of Fury.

4. WoP isn't so great. You'd be better off with Vampiric Spirit to cover your sac costs or Spoil Victor to break hard targets.

5. Needs more GDW. Splinter can substitute if you don't have a high rank yet.

As for the curse build, if you're going to go into curses, might as well go AP-MoP.
